Naming things twice
A working rule for filenames and identifiers.
When in doubt, name a thing twice: once for the machine, once for the
human. The machine wants 2025-02-03-naming.md. The human wants
"Naming things twice." Neither name should try to do both jobs.
When the names disagree later, that disagreement is information.
